Elaine had her right knee replaced by Dr. Jonathan Callegari, orthopedic surgeon at Memorial Satilla Health, earlier this year, and now she’s prepping for the holidays and counting down the days until those kids come home!
“I can walk more, get out and do like I want to. Being able to walk further and not be in pain constantly is the greatest blessing,” Elaine says. She walks freely with no assistance now.
Elaine was amazed at her recovery. “I’m doing great now. My recovery was easy, and I didn’t have the pain I expected,” she says.
Elaine appreciates how Dr. Callegari answered all of her questions. “I just love him to death! He takes time with you and treats you like a person,” she says.
She’s even considering a left knee replacement, but the thought of another pending surgery doesn’t cause her stress – she’s been there and done that! “I know no two knees are the same, but I’m not worried a bit,” she said.
